Children

  • Isaiah House 117, develops and implements strategies to meet the needs of children, specifically from the time of removal until the time of foster placement. The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold: reduce trauma for children awaiting placement, lighten the load for child welfare services, and ease the transition for foster families.
  • Best Buddies, Best Buddies Mission is to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.
  • Dreams Come True, A non-profit, northeast Florida organization dedicated to granting the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses.
  • Hope Haven, Serves children, young adults, and families with a variety of educational, development, and mental health needs.
  • Daniel Foundation, They provide a supportive haven for abused, neglected, or abandoned children along with therapeutic foster care. They also have homeless or independent living services for young adults ages 16-21.
  • Better Together, Better Together has served more than 10,000 children and 38,000 job seekers through two highly successful programs: Better Families and Better Jobs. By empowering people who truly want to help themselves, Better Together is poised to prevent child abuse and neglect before it happens and match employers to employees who simply need a hand up or second chance.
  • The ARC, Assists individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the elderly. They provide day programs, employment/placement, residential services, summer life experiences, and more.
  • Hart Felt Ministries, The mission of Hart Felt Ministries is to honor God by enriching the lives of seniors and enabling them to age in place with dignity and grace. They provide help for seniors’ home repair, groceries, transportation services, and other tangible needs.
  • Feeding North East FL, They secure donations from Feeding America, food and grocery manufacturers, retailers, packers and growers, etc and then sort, label, box and repackage the products for distribution. Nearly 90,000 pounds of food leave their facilities each day for distribution, creating 73,000 meals daily for our neighbors experiencing hunger.
  • Waste Not, Want Not, We fight [hunger + poverty] every day by rescuing food and other items. We rescue more than 4,000 pounds of food each day that is distributed to our food distribution partners.
  • The Mandarin Food Bank, Their mission statement is to provide emergency food and clothing to those in need in the Mandarin community.
  • Awakenings House, Their goal is to uplift , inspire and empower women to recover from alcoholism and addiction by using a recovery program and building a relationship with God. We provide a safe and affordable housing Community for Women as they develop skills for independent living. 
  • Rebel Jax, Rebel Recovery Florida is a low barrier recovery community organization that provides recovery support services, education, and advocacy to people impacted by drug use and those living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS.
  • NAMI, The NAMI Jacksonville mission is to support and improve the quality of life for family members and those living with mental illnesses and co-occurring substance abuse through compassion, education, and advocacy.
  • Project Human, Our primary aim is to offer innovative avenues for individuals to express their states of being, focusing on areas such as PTSD / CPTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Illness, Suicide Prevention, and ADHD.
  • Subliminal Dreamz, Subliminal Dreamz Vision is to see every young person successfully tackle and overcome the many adversities they face as they transition into adulthood. Equipped with the right tools, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
  • PossAbilities Plus, They seek to enhance the lives and opportunities of individuals with special needs through training, employment, and social opportunities.
  • Jacksonville School For Autism, Jacksonville School for Autism (JSA) is dedicated to helping individuals with autism and their families by tapping into all available resources to provide “outside of the desk” thinking. With a focus on whole child development and individualized programs that encourage both family and community involvement, JSA is able to nurture each student to reach his/her full potential. 
  • HEAL, Their goal is to inspire, educate, and fund services for those affected by autism in our community.
  • Camp I Am Special, The programming offered at Camp I Am Special gives individuals with IDDs the choice to participate in numerous daily activities that allow them to take risks, stretch their abilities and enjoy the company of others. Some of those activities include hayrides, crafts, adaptive sports and yoga, and spending time with friends at The Rotary Club of Deerwood Abigail’s Joy Camp I Am Special Aquatic Center.
  • First Coast Women’s Services, We provide free-of-charge medical services, counseling, and accurate evidence-based education on all options regarding unplanned pregnancy.
  • Arize Together, A forever community ​that is breaking the cycle of sexual exploitation through events and gatherings that foster growth, joy and healing. pairs our members with sister allies in an intentional friendship as well as seeks out mission-minded individuals who can offer support. offers our members resources for mental wellness, emergency assistance and goal achievement.
  • Her Song, we firmly believe that survivors of trafficking are resilient individuals on a journey to healing and freedom. Because of this belief, we are dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of survivor care services, including: trauma-responsive victim outreach, holistic Care Coordination, and long-term residential survivor care.
